Meet Miriam Kahn, Coffee Vets September Veteran of the month! Miriam was in the Army during World War II from April 21,1943-January 11,1945. She was part of the Women’s Army Corps and served where she was needed. She started in supplies, then went to the medical field and went where ever she was asked. Miriam is the proud mother of three children, grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 12 great -grandchildren!!! She resides in Glendale, Wisconsin

Emmanual "George" Fermaniswas born in Pittsburgh PA in 1921 to Greek and German Immigrant parents. George grew up in Pittsburgh and worked in the steel mills. After Pearl Harbor, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps where he was trained as an engineer/gunner on B-25 bombers. He did is training at Columbia Army Air Corps Base in Columbia SC where he met his future bride, Naomi Cecil Sites. George was stationed in India where he flew
